loki and thor were raised thinking they are siblings, even if loki is adopted they are still siblings.

the umbrella academy has more leeway (if you squint really hard i guess) although i roll my eyes at all the creator/actor/actress justification that they’re adopted and fandom people tagging their incest shipfic with no incest.

although i don’t think anyone intended to invalidate whether or not real life adopted children are part of the real life family they grew up with.

I thought UA was really tasteless to go there, especially with a mixed race relationship, when they were raised just as much as a family. At least with Thor/Loki it's only in fandom (and I ship it so I don't mean it that way).
