I don't care that people ship it, I just want them to admit it's incest.

Maybe they consider incest to only be the case if the participants are blood relatives.

I mean, after all, incest has only become taboo in recent years (the practice of marrying cousins was pretty normal until relatively recently) and the reason is largely down to genetic diversity.

The only reason anyone considers it not incest without blood relation is because there's a bullshit view of adopted children Not Counting. DNA is held on a pedestal to an insane degree, and anyone who thinks two people raised as siblings getting together isn't incest and kiss my ass with their bullshit assbackwards views.

Incest taboos are not recent, as most cultures have considered sexual relationships between siblings, parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, and, often, uncles/aunts and nieces/nephews to be wrong. Whether cousins count as incest varies and may be a more recent thing in some places, but incest doesn't just mean cousins.
