This is a case where I can actually understand why the fandom wasn't named, but I'm curious. If not sure I really want to know. (Although with all due respect to OP, there could be more to the story.)

This was based on an anon comment one one of those confession threads, so I doubt the secret maker actually knows.

Original Commenter: Oh there very much is more to the story, I'm sure. The person I hate keeps telling my good friend (as well as me and other friends) to kill ourselves, because they don't like our fic. But they also made some p decent tweets about this particular show and the show creator followed them. I'm sure the creator is fine and I'm sure the creator wouldn't support these sorts of comments but... Urgh I don't care ain't no way I'm watching their show.

m. I'm sure the creator is fine and I'm sure the creator wouldn't support these sorts of comments

... but the secret says they're the ones making the comments.

SA - nevermind

I just realized I completely misread the secret. I thought the creators themselves sent those tweets.

Ohh, you made my comment into a secret! Thank you, secret maker :D

(And I still cannot watch that show because of That One Asshat)

As someone still in the dark ages of fandom, I am just so perplexed by this... Like being able to follow a creator by twitter/whatever is one thing, but for them to follow another person back is another thing entirely. For that person to be such an average troll to say things like 'kill yourself', be it they mean it or not just boggles me. I mean, I don't want to agree, but yeah, I'd think less of them too.

Not OP - you probably won't see this, but it looks like you had the same misunderstanding I did. It wasn't the creators who made those threads - they followed someone who made them. I thought it was the creators at first too.

Augh, that makes so much more sense;;

I can relate because like... I was involved with a sexual harassment situation, and a person defended the harasser and supported the harasser in lashing out at people who tried to hold them accountable. That person uses a picture of a video game character as their userpic. Before this all went down, I had wanted to play that video game, but seeing that person defend harassers with that icon caused me to not want to play the game anymore. It's really weird because the game has absolutely nothing to do with the situation...
