I like things that mess with your mind but I really don't like over the top gore so I don't usually go see a lot of horror films at the cinema (even if it turns out I'd actually like them) and wait until I get word of the overall atmosphere. Then I'll watch them on TV or streaming services. I'm ok with some blood but not rivers of the stuff and I will definitely nope out of anything involving eye trauma.

I'm also not keen on jump scares for the sake of jump scares (because they're often fucking overdone and boring) but fortunately most modern horror films are so shitty at those you see them coming miles away because of the soundtrack and/or the actor doing very obvious pre-jump scare things.
