TBH I feel like at his age and with his temperament

Tony knows that he runs on emotion bombs and is regularly vulnerable to them and decided to make himself the sole arbiter of military force embodied in the suits anyway

but if I'm really, really honest with myself, mostly I hate Tony because he's supposed to be a genius and the ~drama~ of the plot keeps requiring him to make the same stupid decisions over and over

stop telling me he's smart, movies

For real. If he was allowed to keep any of his character development, I'd still like him.

"stop telling me he's smart, movies"

This reminds me of when he's trying to get Steve to sign the Accords and Steve's like, "uh...but we don't even know exactly what they say," and Tony's like, "just sign, we can negotiate later" and I was like THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS TONY YOU'RE A BUSINESSMAN WHAT THE FUCK.

I mean I guess it could've just been him expecting Steve to be a dumbass and sign a contract without knowing the particulars but still. That is somehow one of the main things I remember from that damn movie is Tony saying to sign and they can work out the details later.

Ugggh, I'm still salty.
