I used to love all the TV adverts that showed gorgeous, smiling women going hiking and cycling and dancing and saying "don't let your period stop you from doing all of THIS!"

Trust me, at that time of the month, my particular brand of pad or tampon is not what's stopping me from doing shit.

this reminds me of that awful joke about the kid who buys tampax not knowing what it is thinking "it says on the box, you can go swimming, you can go horseback riding..."
