131. I actually liked what I read. Granted, I didn't read the whole interview, just a quote a friend posted where he points out that Edward is a creepy, disturbed ridiculously-aged-virgin with issues. Which doesn't mean he's not playing it wholeheartedly. It means that he's actually playing it with that layer in mind, which has half a chance in heck of making it work. Subtext>text.

162. First bit could be me. As to the second. That's the smaller of the reasons that I just never write porn in my fics. Seriously, a tasteful fade-to-black works just as well, because my readers minds, I'm sure, can fill in the blanks much better, and anyway, the few times I've read anything of the sort, it just makes me snicker because on paper it just sounds so technical.
166. Heh. Well, you've got to admit that the fact that his alt-mode is that extremely sexy motorbike makes him the most rideable of the Autobots.
Well, that and the fact that he's a robotic ninja version of Owen Burnett.

171. You summed up my feelings pretty well. I was surprised (and then not when I though about the nature of fandom) to realise that most people who read the book seemed to ship them. It had nothing to do with that sort of relationship to me, and everything to do with all the rest of it.

I feel that way hhhaaaaaallll the time. It's my fault--I draw for obscure fandoms/characters, etc. However much attention something gets, it's never enough.

TooBig2: Huh. It's weird. Usually, I can't stand Katara-type characters, and I was fully expecting to hate her utterly (I despise Hermione for many of those reasons). Yet... I don't know. Maybe it's because Katara learns from her mistakes sometimes, admits when she's wrong. Maybe it's because those things are actually treated like flaws as opposed "it's her personality, but nothing bad will ever come of it." Maybe it's just because she brings something necessary to the dynamic, and at the end of the day, I totally believe and love her character.
But honestly, there's not a single character in Avatar I was able to hate. Except one. And by the end, I would've loved her too, if her introduction hadn't completely gelled with the idea of her being anything but comic relief.

I can't say I truly hated any characters in Avatar, but if any were to come close...it'd be Mai and Katara. Mai offends me on so many levels and was developed so poorly, it's not funny. Katara was great at first, but my interest with her declined in S3 due to her petty, rash behavior and her sue!treatment. D:
