The OP of 120 isn't damaging this country any more than people like you, you fascist-supporting dickweed. A vote for McBush and the Republicunt is a vote against America.

If you are a woman, imagine being raped, getting pregnant, and being forced to carry the rapist's child to term. If you are a man, imagine that horror happening to your wife, mother, sister, daughter, girlfriend, etc.

Imagine being forced to pay $1200 for the only real chance you might have of the rapist being brought to justice.

REALLY FUCKING THINK about those scenarios, and then tell me how you feel about McCaincient and The Bitch From Nowhere.

At least Obama is still honoring his commitment to his FIRST wife and family. McCain talking about family values is like Kim Jong Il preaching tolerance and freedom of expression.

Actually, I think s/he's making fun of the little fist-knock thing they do. Probably. Which is almost even more ridiculous, because it's obviously a silly little gesture and still has nothing to do with any issues. However, since the Republican campaign seems to like avoiding the issues and lying through their teeth about them every time they come up, I can't bring myself to be too surprised.

I really, really hate mocking other people 99% of the time, because I personally find things like this make me sad and not so much angry, but. One of my friends is apparently voting for McCain because- and I swear this is her reason- the amount of attention and money that Obama is putting into his campaign to make it look good makes her uncomfortable with him and she just doesn't want a "rock star president." I tried to actually turn the conversation around to where candidates stood on the issues and it became obvious that she had no idea what she was talking about. At all.

I actually talked to a few women, early on after Palin had been chosen, and they were tempted to swing their vote that way because she was a woman. My response in those cases was, invariably, "... you know she wants to make abortion completely illegal, including classifying some forms of contraceptive illegal and making it impossible for even women who are raped to get abortions, right?" And I'm glad to say that a good chunk of the time their replies were actually "oh nevermind then o_____o" so maybe there's a bit of hope. XD;

I've heard that. I've also heard that one of the reasons she wanted to charge rape victims for their rape kits is because rape kits contain...*oh noes* emergency contraception!

Not sure if that's the case, but damn, doesn't that just sound lke her? Letting a rapist go free rather than allowing his victim a chance at letting a possible clump of cells implant?
