slightly off topic:

Why does everyone always bring up the Mormonism? Can't we just say she's a bad writer and leave it at that? Her religion has little to do with her books. People don't go around insulting Catholic or Protestant writers' work for their religion, unless they're huge twats.

Mormonism is heavily laced into the Twilight books, in my opinion, so that is why it is always brought up. And she makes it clear in interviews that she is a religious person, which is basically going to cause discussion. I don't see how it's wrong to look at Twilight from a critical perspective and examine the BLATANT influences.

I guess I just don't get why it's always brought up as a point of insult. It works just as well to say "those frustrating, badly-written vampire books" as it does to say "those frustrating, badly-written Mormon vampire books." In fact, I think the former works better, because it sounds less ridiculous and judgmental.

I haven't read the books, so I have no idea how much Mormonism is integrated into her text, but it still just strikes me as silly, to be quite honest.

Yeah, it's kind of mean to roast the books with the Mormonism thing, but it's just for the lulz, imo =]
