AcademyAcademyAcademy is my new fave superfandom. And I dont even watch MHA or LWA, I just want an excuse to say AcademyAcademyAcademy at random points.

Aren't these completely different things? I mean sure they all share the name academy, but isn't that where their similarities end?

Well, two of them are anime, so that's similar. And Umbrella Academy is not anime but I feel like it's very close to it.

I guess. I wouldn't say that they're similar just because they're both anime, and one's based on a comic though. Of course I know next to nothing about Hero and Witch. One's looks like the obvious fighting shonen anime, and the other like a cute little girl tea party type... and Umbrella's well, not even an academy really.

LWA's fandom is dead though

i don't... understand this secret?? these all have very different subjects and tones, and one really isn't even in a school setting.

harry potter could very easily have been called Hogwarts Magic Academy and witch academia could have been called Kagari Atsuko and the Staff of Seven Stars. they're just naming conventions and "academy" is a word with lots of different possibilities.

I did say "unreasonably uncomfortable" in the secret. There is really no good reason for this feeling. I'm not even IN any of the fandoms, the most I've done is having watched the first two episodes of Umbrella Academy and not liking it. I'm just randomly bothered by there being three fandoms with similar names at the same time. That's literally all there is to it. Hence why it's a secret; nobody in their right mind actually admits to something this silly.

Are you bothered by Hunger Games and Game of Thrones?

This secret doesn't make any sense. Are you saying it's weird that three separate fandoms have the word "academy" in their title? That's not weird at all. Not to mention the Little Witch is not even a current fandom, it's been dead for awhile. Also that's just THREE shows so why are you pretending it's some explosive phenomena?

Is it weird that they are about or include school life? I don't know what rock you live under but that describes like 90% of every anime and television show ever.

You know series taking place mostly in schools has been a thing for a long time right?
