Same here OP (although I stopped watching after Season 8, so haven’t met 13 yet).

Eh, I found he swung between gratingly ditsy, and clearly indifferent to human suffering. Not exactly charming.

Personally I thought the character was great in terms of aesthetics and I liked the wonder and fantasy, but a lot of the storytelling and aesthetic decisions annoyed me, to the point where it was hard or impossible for me to embrace the era as a whole.

I agree, his whimsy really suited the way they played his seasons, him and 13 do this very well.

Same, NuWho was at its best during his era.

I feel the same way. I love all of the Doctors but Eleven was MY Doctor.

I really liked Eleven’s whimsy, but there was a lot going on during his run that I didn’t really like. I also really like Thirteen and think she’s adorable, but I haven’t really enjoyed many of her episodes except the one where they meet Yaz’s grandma.
