This secret confuses me on multiple levels

They didn't ship male!Master/Ten but they did ship female!Master/Twelve so they were worried this was for homophobic reasons. But then it turned out they also shipped male!Master/Twelve so it turns out it's just that they don't want to ship people with Ten.

So... you don't ship Master/10. You do ship F!Master/12. You also ship Master/12.

I felt so alone in the fandom wilderness around decade ago as I really *really* didn't like Simm's Master during his first couple of appearances. So yeah 10/Master didn't really work for me either.

But the dynamics in this episode really did work for me. I'm not sure if personally I'd ship it (as 12/Master, 12/Missy or some sort of weird OT3) but I can see why you would.

It helps that Peter Capaldi just seems to have so much natural chemistry with pretty much everyone. I never bought into River's grand romance with The Doctor...until that Christmas special with 12.

I always ship Doctor/Master, but I think Twelve/Missy was my favorite.

I am interested to know if you've watched any Classic Who and what, if any, shipping you did with the Master there. I'm rather partial to shipping him with the third and fifth Doctors...

I've watched some Classic Who, but I haven't yet been able to see one with the Master (stuck only watching what my library has available). I've watched some clips on Youtube, though, and I think I probably would ship if I saw more.
