My guess? Either someone put a contract out on someone but went for the discount hitman, or OP is part squirrel.

I'm delightfully infamous in my inability to pay attention, especially when crossing the street. Or walking into doors. Interestingly, while I am apparently immune to cars, I am super weak against doors and have been knocked unconscious and nearly had my fingers and foot severed by closing doors.
