I finally saw this movie yesterday!

And I... wasn't a fan. Somehow the film looked both really expensive and really cheap at the same time? The dialogue and acting was so stiff and for some reason the CG sharks really threw me off, far more than any of the other CG animals.

"Really expensive and really cheap at the same time" nails it for so many blockbuster films these days, IMO. I can tell they're big budget and they're going for a certain epic look, but it still looks very chintzy to me.
