Which is particularity alarming when you realize so much online shippy content, much of which is anime-based, is created by and for queer-identifying men and women. A lot of the LGBQ+ crowd is eating itself in this regard - some younger LGBQ+ individuals are rallying against ship content... without understanding context or history. People are so quick to scream that an animated character is 'underage'... completely forgetting that many anime shows that have a ton of fanart and fanfiction have been around for DECADES.
