They can try rebooting, but all the attempted spin offs have shown that people are mostly here for the brothers.

Idk if it's proven that. I agree that you probably need a good 10 or 15 years before you make new Supernatural, but I think it's really hard for spinoffs of long-running series to succeed at the best of times, especially the more they depart from the original formula of the show. People who don't like Supernatural don't tune in because they don't like the show, and people who do like it don't want to tune in to watch a fundamentally different show.

Hey now, I’m mainly in it for Cas, not Sam and Dean. ;)

Same. I would be HERE for a Castiel series.

Before the showrunners apparently alienated Mark Sheppard and killed off Crowley, I was hoping for a Castiel and Crowley show. Oh well.

Honestly I think they attempted a spin-off too late. A spin-off featuring Bobby or one with the Roadhouse and Jo and Ellen I think could have actually done well in the ratings.

YES to Jo & Ellen at the Roadhouse. Great concept, and Ellen was fantabulous.

i feel like everyone's forgetting how much everyone hated jo and ellen when they were introduced. i'm sure a spinoff was a consideration, as was them being more involved in general, but kripke specifically wrote them off because fans hated them, specifically jo.

then those same fans were like "but where are jo and ellen???" at conventions a few years later and kripke essentially was like "you hated them so i wrote them off???" and he brought them back to kill them off, and that was the moment i knew i was done with the show.

tbh this fandom likes to willfully ignore it's shitty past when it comes to side-characters, especially female side-characters. they were always so virulently hated until the PTB wrote them off, then seasons later they'd complain about the writers doing so like they hadn't actively asked for it the whole time.

I would’ve watched a Bobby and Rufus spin-off. Little late for that now though. I liked Ellen, but didn’t like Jo, so I doubt I would’ve watched a spin-off with them.
