It is easier to say Live Action that "Photorealistic CGI".

Yup. And also, generally, people don't call CGI animation. It is a style animation, but that's not what it is called.

You are right, that type of CGI is called animation. But the kind they use in otherwise live action films generally isn't. Not sure what the distinction is, actually, but they seem to be considering this more like that than Pixar stuff?

It’s still animation to anyone who isn’t pretending its live action. It’s just not very good animation- Pixar hasn’t released anything as unintentionally uncanny valley as Rafiki or Dumbo since the 90s.

But it's not true in any sense
