My friend-group that I started playing with have all stopped by now so for me it'd be me just trying to recapture something I can't get back yanno? That and I enjoy the live-version of the game just fine.

Also no blood/void elves, like man, I can't play Horde without that option! (You might think I'm kidding, I'm not). Or Dreanei on Alliance! I needs mah space-goats.

I'm all for this version existing for the players who want to play it though, and it will be interesting to see what QoL changes they do/don't implement to keep it feeling the same but perhaps with some adjustments to make it a bit more user-friendly. Idk we'll see.

Different anon but I totally get you, no blood elves is a minor tragedy. I honestly feel like Wrath was... the most balanced version of the game; it wasn't perfect, but it had enough variety and challenge and aesthetics to be incredibly accessible and engrossing without feeling like you had to churn through 100+ levels to get to the 'real game' or anything like that.

On the other hand, my experience of Vanilla in private servers is that it's really an entirely different beast; the kind of game that probably only Old School RuneScape is capable of challenging. And that clearly is popular and has a strong community, which seems to be mostly older people who are a bit more reasonable about time and stuff. I'm looking forward to enjoying the world when it opens.
