I'm a woman and I think OP is a moron. Would you consider it okay if she said, "Sometimes when I read a fic where a black male character is fatherly and doesn't run away from his children there's a little voice in my head that goes "you know thats not realistic right?"

I would think it's equally untrue but it might be coming from a different emotional place, depending on the context, and so I might respond to it differently.
