Low cost of living. That is about it.

It smells nice here. There's nothing to actually do, what with being a small town, but there's lots of fresh air.

I only notice when I’ve come back from somewhere else, but there are SO MANY TREES.

Low cost of living, super friendly, almost small-town kind of vibe, but big enough to have tons of great restaurants and stores, there are always activities going on and things to do, and politically liberal.

Can't believe I forgot that there are several awesome parks and nature areas!

wow, word for word the good things about my city too. I'm not in love with it but I guess it has a lot of good points.

Where do you live?

The long growing season, I guess? I’m basically in a frost-free area, so there are some things I can’t grow because they need winter dormancy, but I can grow low-chill stone fruit and apples and blueberries, and also mangoes and avocados and macadamia nuts

Relatively low cost of living, low population density and lots of trees.

Early Spring. Moved south from a life in the North and while I miss the snow, damn but I am happy not to live through the dull February and snowy April.

The sea being a 15 minute walk away.

Jealous! I lived a five minute walk from the ocean for the first 7 years of my life and it left it's mark. I miss it so much.

It is pretty awesome. There's been a lot of talk lately about how the town itself is "going downhill" since there's been a big spike in crime/anti-social behaviour the past few years and it's not as safe as it used to be, but at least that sea ain't going anywhere!

I can walk into town on a weekend, go to a market, and buy fruit and vegetables from the people who grew them. I know the town and my neighbourhood really well. The weather suits me, being generally cool and temperate. I like the environment, especially the rainforests to the south. Quite a few things, really!

That it's a big city, so I rarely have a "There's nowhere for me to do that here," or a "We don't have that here" moment.

Also, it's politically speaking pretty damn liberal. (Always room for improvement though, of course.)

Two worst things? I always rains, and it's expensive af. :(

There's a body of water too large to see across, so it's like living near the ocean, but we're hundreds of feet above sea level and very far inland, so there's no hurricanes or storm surges to worry about and we're out of reach of sea level rise.

Low crime rate when it comes down to it probably.
