The Rook. I liked it a lot, I loved the concept and the heroine and the story. Buuut the book was not perfect; it was the author's first published novel and it showed, especially in the inconsistent writing and the aimless not-really-romance subplot. I would love to see a version edited by people with more experience, be it a book, a show, a film or an audio drama. Maybe cast the girl who played the religious companion in Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries as the lead.
