There's this weird and frankly, really shitty trend on tumblr where people scold other people for being sad or upset about the Notre Dame fire. So far I've seen:

*omg people didn't care when Brazil's national museum burned and that was much worse people only care about Notre Dame because white people, etc. etc.

* instead of donating to restore Notre Dame you should donate to rebuild black churches that were burned down in Lousiana and you're a bad racist person if you don't

It's like... jesus, people. Let people be sad about a loss without getting in their face and yelling at them for not being equally (or more) sad about other losses that are far more worthy in your view.

My pain doctor keeps trying to push this other anti-depressant on me. We already tried that before, back when I was having period pain due to endometriosis. It didn't work for me and made me suicidal. So I've currently got bursitis in my hip. Had a steroid shot last week that helped some but didn't completely cure it. And yet again he's trying to push this other anti-depressant on me. I had to be pretty forceful to get him to stop. He did not offer another steroid shot. The only other thing he offered was PT. Which is fine. I figured I'd have to do PT. But why can't I get another steroid shot? And why keep pushing this med on me we know doesn't work for me.

Just, really long-term bonds with characters who will do anything for each other, who have been through it all, and are the most important person in teach other's life. Doesn't matter to me whether they are enemies, friends, or lovers in canon. I just like long-term, really strong bonds.

What did he say when you straight up asked him 1) why can't you get another steroid shot and 2) why is he suggesting a drug that had extremely negative side effects the last time you tried it?

There's so many different angles for people to be annoying and dumb about this, it's quite frustrating. For me personally, I think it's very dumb to shame people for caring about it on a personal level, but it's also pretty reasonable to point out the specific injustice in the funding provided by governments and the ultra-wealthy for this as compared to other things. Because honestly, that is pretty fucked up, and it's on auch different scale than some random person's emotional response.

TMI But my period started today and I’m having the worst cramps and leg pain to boot. I already took some pain relief, but it’s not helping much.

I love couples that give each other shit/mildly mock one another, but it comes from a place of deep love and respect and they always have each others' backs. I like that level of comfort characters have, where they don't always have to be perfect to be perfect for each other.
