Just, really long-term bonds with characters who will do anything for each other, who have been through it all, and are the most important person in teach other's life. Doesn't matter to me whether they are enemies, friends, or lovers in canon. I just like long-term, really strong bonds.

I love couples that give each other shit/mildly mock one another, but it comes from a place of deep love and respect and they always have each others' backs. I like that level of comfort characters have, where they don't always have to be perfect to be perfect for each other.

I have two favourite types of ship:

1) a femdom with a partner who worships the ground she walks on

2) murderers in love

Stoic and Bored Character X Hyperactive and Enthusiastic Character.

Borderline unhealthily intense love/obsession.

Ships where one character dies in the others arms or they die together.

Hero/Villain or villain/henchperson

Oh god, me too. This is such a common staple of fanfic that you'd think everyone was into it. But people only ever seem to mention it when they're criticizing it.

I love very loyalty driven characters, so I ship a lot of that.

They share a cause/mission/career, and over time they form an incredibly deep and loyal bond that secretly scares them both in its intensity. They spend a very long time being in love with each other without knowing their feelings are reciprocated. And each one brings something to the table that the other sorely lacks.
