That episode was so awkward. It's funny, I love the show, but on the rewatch, I find a lot of the episodes uncomfortably awkward. For some reason I didn't the first time around.

Lol opposite for me. I saw that episode first, thought it was hilarious. Then none of the rest of the series was quite as funny in comparison.

I really like the episode. It's not mocking disability - everyone is supportive to him - it's about the awkwardness of him faking it to avoid embarrassment only to end up having to carry it through with tons more embarrassing situations. I think of it every time I'm out in a family change room with my nephew/multipurpose toilet and see a disabled pullcord :)

That one's the least funny episode to me, it's so hard to watch. (though quite a few are more difficult to watch a second time around)

I am disabled and I sometimes quote this episode. It was funny. It probably wouldn't be made today because people freak out about the potential of offending someone.

Sure, because there's no offensive or tone deaf media being made in modern times, right?

Not even slightly a hypothetical idea in the specific context of this show

Same! My sister and I are both disabled, and we absolutely do the whole awkward high-pitched 'Leg disabled??' thing on days that require more mobility aid than usual?

I don't know. I don't hate the show, but there's a lot about it I really don't find very funny. It hits the wrong notes of awkward/secondhand embarrassment humor for me and some of the jokes seem really behind the times... like that one.

This episode was hilarious. XD
