This is the anon who was freaked about going to the doctor yesterday.

Today I went to the doctor, broke down crying at the thought of getting my first ever (I’m a 35-year-old virgin so I never bothered before) pap smear, peed on my hands while trying to fill a test vial with pee, had my blood pressure spike to 220 because I freaked out about the pap smear, got the pap smear (ow), got the second half of my hep A shot, and got blood drawn after not eating for 20 hours.

I hate going to the doctor and I really hope I’m done for awhile. I also bought some costume sewing patterns and walked 5.5 miles. Then I came home and ate an entire subway footlong and a banana and now I’m gonna take a nap.

Ooh, I hadn’t even considered going the church route. Thanks for the advice!

Fell down while out for a run and knocked myself out on pavement, now have fabulous Harry Potter-ish scar on forehead.

Yeah. That or might be thyroid issue. That can send your sense of temp out of whack but easily seen in a blood review so hopefully be cleared up in a few days and you can get set to rights :)

And as a diabetic who has been trying to pee into those vials for 21 years, min twice a year, it sucks and I STILL pee on myself and maybe my clothes and the toilet and then freak out about cleaning up. You did AMAZING and there is NOTHING to feel bad about. Rock on anon.

I haven't, but my brother has. My entire life I've been told we're almost entirely German...turns out we're predominantly English/Welsh/Irish/Scottish with a little bit of French and a little bit of Swedish and zero German.

Do you mean when people meta about ships, or just about the characters but their views are influenced by their shipping preferences? Even so, that's still quite not what I'm talking about when I say that what fanfic people write tends to be a separate thing just by virtue of how the writing process goes. I think engaging in meta discussions in fandom is like any other discussion in that you should only engage with the arguments. If they're inaccurate or misguided or lacking in evidentiary support, they should be accordingly criticized for being poor arguments. That criticism shouldn't come down to whether the holder of said arguments writes ABC fic or ships XYZ pairing, like they did so-and-so in separate context what do they know.

circular white scar on the sole of my right foot from falling on a speaker nail. (it was meant to screw the 5 feet speakers into the carpet? But hadn't been put in idk)

scar on left shin from ....going arse over tit at some point in my childhood.

Some tiny white circular scars on my abdomen from insulin pump sites. They probably look like weird freckles.

acne and bacne scars across my shoulders, breasts and back.

A burn scar on my right hand from the top of my wrist touching the oven ...ledge? The silver ray parts you can pull out and rearrange but always stay in the oven.

Then just an assortment of little scratches and nibbles from pets over the years over my hands and arms :)

Eleven year old me told my dad “helmets are stupid” before riding mountain bike down very steep dirt road, swerved to avoid friend’s dog, woke up with dad’s bloody shirt wrapped around my bleeding skull, had an enormous black eye, gravel under the skin on my arms and palms, and a bloody hole in my forehead that needed stitching. Still have a dent in my right eyebrow.

Brought home new dog from animal shelter, broke up fight between new dog and old dog. Both dogs are long gone, but I have a scar on one middle finger to remember new dog by.

Was born super early, have a couple marks on my feet from tubing that kept me alive and I think the port thingy they used for blood draws.

There's not a ton of permanent stakes in MCU films to begin with, just fun action with engaging characters. I get feeling that they jumped the gun, but it's not like any of this was in suspense.
