This, but rather than scary, disturbing. I like thought-provoking stuff, and I don't mind eerie and uncomfortable, but based on what people have told me about Black Mirror it sounds completely miserable. Like something that would get stuck in my head at night when I'm trying to sleep and just leave me feeling awful.

Disturbing, yeah that's a better word.

Pity, bc it has a plethora of my favorite actors but not trying to be depressed out of the ass.

I’ve seen some of it, and that’s exactly how it is for me. Way too dark. I watched it because people said it was like a modern twilight zone (this was before the reboot, which I have not seen and am now scared to) and I love the OG twilight zone.

I can't speak to "Black Mirror", 'cause I've never seen it, but I would recommend the TZ reboot to you. It's only four episodes in so far, so I don't know if this'll change, but none of the episodes that have aired so far are graphic or anything of that sort. It's more suspenseful/psychological, like the original was :).

TZ: Uses a metaphor to explore the ethical problems of callout and shame culture.

BM: Social media culture is flawed because here's a 60-minute slow-burn rape scene.
