I was having the issue. Do you use firefox? Try this. https://blog.mozilla.org/firefox/block-autoplay/

I do use firefox, but i want it to autoplay when i'm on the Youtube page - i have autoplay turned on. But it won't, i have to click the little arrow.

It's annoying 'cause i keep forgetting and looking at another tab and then going 'why is that no playing?'.
