I agree. Most of the time I don't even look at the username of the author until I've read at least some of the fic. I'll read the summary to judge whether or not I want to give the fic a shot and if I like what I see I'll look at their page for other stuff they've written, but barring something that really just throws itself off the page at me (like the example of the anon above me, an ethnic slur or something horrible to really put me off) I don't care what username someone uses.

Probably because I am the kind of person that hates coming up with usernames and usually just picks some blando random noun that I'll use for 10 years - I don't put a lot of stock in whatever people decided to put in the box when they were signing up for the site.
