I remember watching episode by episode during the first season and being pleasantly surprised every week. I miss that feeling. (I missed a few episodes near the start of the second season then never bothered picking it back up.)

I'm pretty sure it's off the air, and yeah, it crashed so fast. I think I made it most of the way through Season 2, but it wasn't improving.

I thought I’d found a cracky cheesy fun replacement for Once Upon a Time, and then season 2 happened. I didn’t even make it all the way to the third season, which by all accounts is a good thing to avoid.

Made it through S2, but it got even worse in S3, and I bailed. Then I found out they KILLED OFF ABBY and I was bitter and horrified all over again.

Ending in March 2017, in case you wondered. I lost a lot of patience with it during the third season (they had a crossover with Bones and that was... something). It was announced that Nicole Beharie (Abbie Mills) was leaving for good (her last episode was the season finale) and I decided that was it for me and didn't watch the last season.

When Annie bounced, so did I. I thought I could stick through it for Jess, but I just...I really liked the dynamic of the two witnesses...I was saddened.

This is spooky. I randomly thought about the show yesterday...

That said, I never bothered checking out S2, because I already wasn't a big fan of the first season. I'm obviously in the minority, but I only liked the first a couple of episodes.

It was disappointing how things turned out, but! There are some REALLY GOOD fics you can use to replace the seasons you don't like.

If it's not too much to ask, do you have any recs? I'd definitely be interested in good fic for this show; it had so much potential, and then went so far off the rails.

I was specifically thinking of She and He (https://archiveofourown.org/works/1108895), which is a FANTASTIC take on what season 2 should have been. I know I've read others but they're buried in my reading history orz
