Re: What is your favorite candy to buy after a holiday is over?

genuine question, where do you buy your after-holiday candy? because everywhere around here, the candy vanishes the morning after (sometimes the morning OF) and is immediately replaced by the next holiday at full price. I have never seen discounted holiday candy except the actual shitty gross stuff that no one was buying anyway.

because believe me I'd shank a Karen for reeses eggs right now. they're gone

Drug stores usually have leftover candy for a couple of weeks after the holiday, at least here in the SF Bay area. In fact, I bought some dark chocolate coconut cream eggs at Walgreen's just yesterday and they were half off regular price. If they stick around another few days, they'll get marked down to 75% off or more.

Yep, around here CVS and Walgreen's usually have some left for at least a few days after the holiday.

I always get mine at Target, but everything good disappears within a day or two. Some pharmacies also have leftover holiday candy, but the discounts aren’t as deep, so the candy lingers for about a week and a half on the shelves.

I went to The Fresh Market today and they still had plenty.

Mind you, their candy probably starts at 15.00$ and with 50% off.......it's still 8$ for a bag of candy. Well, 7.50$, but consider local tax.

Small town so we have surplus for weeks.

Target starts selling candy at 30% off rather than 50, so they might sell out slower.

Mine used to do that, but when I went the day after Easter, everything was already fifty percent off.

Same here, nonny! I've seen like... maybe as good as 30% discounts and then everything vanishes. Nothing goes automatically half off the day after, or even a few days after. :(
