I like those, too, because there always seem to be a lot of them left over, unlike, say, Halloween candy, which around here is already slim pickings by the morning of our designated neighborhood trick-or-treat day the Saturday before Halloween. If anything is sad here, it might be Valentine's Day trying to persist as a gift-giving holiday in a world where people are increasingly single.
