You are right, there is a middle ground. Personally, I'm a fan who thinks he's evil and is a fun character exactly because of that, and who's hoping no redemption. Or, if there is, at least I hope he lives and has to spend the rest of his life hated and having to make up for what he did rather than a redemption=death storyline. There are a very wide variety of fans, and you can't lump us all with one brushstroke.

And the secret maker is speaking about one specific type of Kylo fan. Not that I actually think those fans shouldn't be allowed to fan how they want. I don't agree with their interpretations, but they should be allowed to do them. But the secret isn't about all Kylo fans, just one specific type.

It feels like the fan was talking about any Kylo fan who didn't think he was pure evil or who sympathized with him in any way,
