My solution with this was simply finding older anime to start watching instead of recent releases. There's thousands of titles to choose from and some great obscure anime hidden in the depths of YouTube.

Yeah, this is definitely the way to go. I'm super good on honing in on seasonal anime I'll enjoy, but the amount of old and good stuff out there is insane. It might worthwhile to torrent some too. bakabt has a freeleech event every year and it's one of the few ways to watch some older or obscure anime without going to malware invested websites.

Older shows tend to run longer too so there's more to watch. I really cannot recommend enough checking out some of the World Masterpiece Theater anime, Akane no Anne in particular. :)
