I think it's even more tricky IRL. Especially with shows like GoT that a lot of people watch, it's kind of shitty to come into work the next morning after an an episode aired and have everyone shove spoilers in your face even though you may not have had the time to watch it yet.

You work with rude people. I have no plans to ever watch the show and still have to actively convince people that it's okay to talk about GoT spoilers around me. Most conversations start with "Have you seen it yet," or "Wait, what episode are you on?"

This. I take about shows with my co-worker and I've gone to the movies with her husband/kids before, and convos ALWAYS start with, "Hey have you seen X?" before either of us even BEGINS to talk about spoilery stuff.
