i was really really really anxious going into the movie because while i was mentally prepared for 1-2 deaths i was really worried about my favs

I am SO GLAD the deaths were not as numerous as anticipated. I knew some of the Big Deals had to die but i am not mad at any of them. Maybe Nat because another female character killed off :/ at least nat and clint fought over who would sacrifice themselves.

I can actually live with tony's passing - i could not have dealt with cap biting the dust. I was very worried for him for a few minutes.

I LOVED the audience i sat with - cheered and clapped at the best moments - last stan lee cameo, carol destroying thanos' ship, everyone returning from the dead, when steve wielded mjolnir.

the one thing i am PISSED about tho is what they did to thor. I get it - he's got bad survivors guilt but was it necessary to make him such a laughing stock?????

and, no spoiler, but, i LOVE carols new hair. i would get that haircut but sadly my face and hair structure doesn't allow such a cut :/

also, peggys apprarance was the only moment i actually teared up. agent carter deserved better (still bitter about that cancellation)

So, I haven't seen it, but I read the plot (I like spoilers). I'm so pissed honestly. I Hate it. There are a few things I'm okay with. Tony dying (though I'm mad he's the one who gets to take out Thanos rather than anyone else who has more reason). Natahsa's death works for me. But Steve's entire plot doesn't work for me and I'm pissed about it. And Thor. Ugh. That just sounds so terrible and I'm mad. He's my favorite. I hope he gets back to normal in the next Guardian movie. That's the only good thing out of this: he'll be in the Guardian movies now.

if it helps you, basically everyone got a shot at thanos. and theres gratifiction for gamora and nebula as well.

Except Nebula was forced to kill herself, a version of herself that was still brainwashed by Thanos. Not a fan of that writing choice at all.

I'm sorry Stucky didn't happen and Steve chose to go back where he was actually happy.

I wasn't expecting Stucky to happen. I'm not an idiot. But Steve had moved on. He'd gotten over being in a different time. He'd made friends. He'd made this his home. It wasn't true to his character to have him go back to the past.

I'd prepared for both Tony's and Steve's deaths, and possibly one or two other deaths of the original six. Peter Parker managed to break my heart all over again. Not sure how I feel about Steve's alternate timeline happy ending, but it was cool he passed on the (repaired?) shield to Falcon. Nat's death hurt, but I get it. Clint had a family back home to raise (then again, so did Tony). I have to say, Ronin!Clint is a look I could get used to.

Thor cracked me up at first, I admit. But yeah, he had some serious trauma he hadn't dealt with, and it was obvious when he met up with Frigga. If they'd made that the turning point for the humor, that would have been better.

same. i feared all of them dead (unrealistic, i know but still!) so having "only" nat and tony actually die with steves time thing was okay for me.

I feel like the Russos were really pushing their idea that it was all Thor's fault for not aiming for the head by having him blame himself as much as he did. It didn't really feel completely true to the character to me.

I have too many thoughts about the movie. I finally have a PC again so I will have to write them up. The more I think about the last ten minutes, the more I hate them. :/

There were things I liked and things I didn't like, overall though my thoughts on it were... it happened I guess?

There were some very cool moments and fights, I LOVED Steve picking up the hammer, like YES. That was great.

Sam being chosen as the new Cap, YESSSSSSSS, literally all I really wanted from that.

I was kinda surprised that they had the balls to off Tony but I'm not mad how he went out and while I love Tony/Pepper I can be happy with how they ended. He got his happiness and sacrificed himself so that they could live on. It worked for me.

Thor was just... /sigh. I'm not even gonna touch on that tbh, just so disappointing and I wasn't a fan.

I knew neither Gamora or Nebula would actually get to kill Thanos at all but still... nothing? And Nebula had to kill a still-brainwashed AR past-version of herself? Meh.

And I hated what happened with Gamora, but I hate clone/AR/replacement goldfish WITH A PASSION. So Endgame basically tanked my love of Peter/Gamora and the Nebula+Gamora relationships because while she may be a past-version of Gamora she's still not my Gamora and therefore I don't act like it's some kind of band-aid or instant-fix on what happened to her. The one I loved is dead and gone, this new one just has her face. :/

Wanda got to fight Thanos, that was cool.

The main reason I loved the Nat+Clint scene with the Soul Stone is because of the juxtaposition of the scene with Thanos+Gamora in IW. Their scene was pure selfless love and they both thought the other had more reason to live, Thanos's scene was completely and utterly selfish because it was all about HIS goals. Idk, I just think comparisons like that are neat.

Some of the past scene stuff was fun.

But on the whole it was just, alright I guess? I don't hate it but I can't say I was entirely satisfied with it either. Idk.
