So basically you expect people to stay off social media in order to avoid spoiling people?

If it's a TV show, people have every right to discuss it the day after it airs and tough luck on you if you didn't watch it.

I think it's reasonable to ask people to warn or tag for spoiler content immediately after things come out

Or they could, you know, mark their spoilers. Heaven fucking forbid.

I mean, I have to use social media for work. I'm not on there for fun. And it's shitty to just blame people for getting on social media because they haven't been able to see a movie yet. Just don't be a dick and mark your spoilers.

But why would people be posting about spoilers on their professional accounts? Additionally I can't speak for facebook (beyond unfollowing but remaining friends), but tumblr and twitter provide plenty of options to mute key terms.
