I agree. I don't think it has the subtlety and depth it claims; it's just relentlessly bleak. I kind of emotionally noped out of the series after that episode where a mother is kidnapped and her 18 month old just left alone in the house; they spend the whole episode desperately searching for her... only to find her dead in a freezer. That's just where the story ends. Ok, great. I just wasn't enjoying it. I somehow got through all the available episodes, but I don't think I'd watch it again.
