Not OP, but chill. Everyone should wear what they feel their best self in. But people are allowed to criticize fashion and not like certain styles.

I think there's a reasonable line to draw between saying you don't like a certain style and saying everyone wearing a certain style looks shitty. And it definitely feels like OP is a lot closer to the second.

Some styles just look dumb, though. It doesn't matter who's wearing them, they're unflattering and/or messy-looking on everyone.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-30 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Thinking a style looks shitty on most people is a perfect reason not to like the style, though.

Please point to where in the secret OP says everyone wearing the french tuck looks shitty? Fashion and one's personal appearance are touchy topics, but I don't think it's productive to go looking for offense.

OP says it looks awful...

nayrt - Which is definitely not the same thing as saying "saying everyone wearing a certain style looks shitty". OP is criticizing the french tuck. They are not saying everyone who wears it looks shitty. The former is directed at a style, the latter is directed at a person or persons.

I don't always french tuck, but sometimes I do. It depends on the shirt. There's no need to take someone else's opinion on it so personally.

The way they reacted, it's pretty obvious that ayrt took it personally because they're hella insecure.

Criticizing people's fashion choices isn't exactly self-assured behavior.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-29 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course people are allowed to criticize! And I'm allowed to respond to their criticism. Yay internets.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-30 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
nayrt - Absolutely! But responding defensively and conflating criticism of a style as a personal attack is... well, it's a choice. Not a good one, though.

(Anonymous) 2019-04-30 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
but it wasn't a criticism leveled at you, and you're kind of acting like it is
