Why did they send the Dothraki out by themselves? That is literally one of the dumbest things I have seen. Why did Jon and Dany not use the dragons before they got all mixed in with their men? They could have wiped out a shit ton of the zombies with 2-3 passes. Why not have some fire to pour down the walls? Or have some downward facing spikes like you do for dogs that try to escape their fences? Why only one fire trench??? WHY ARE YOUR TREBUCHETS OUTSIDE OF THE CASTLE??

Okay, now that that is out of the way...

I didn't expect them to kill Lyanna and especially not so graphically. I think the death that effected me the most was Theon. I am glad he redeemed himself. I didn't care about Ed or Melisandre dying all that much. And Jorah died doing what he loved, being friendzoned.

I felt the death of the Night King was a bit anti-climatic. Maybe because Arya never really had any kind of connection to him. Maybe because there was this build up as if Bran was about to do something (of course he was still just being useless). But, I am glad he is dead because I think the Cersei battle will be more interesting.

Of course, the thing I see people talking about the most was how fucking dark it was. There were some scenes where I had no clue what was going on. I thought Jon's dragon had died but apparently it was in the preview for next week.

I spent a good chunk of the episode thinking 'this would probably be a cool scene IF I COULD SEE ANYTHING'.

Not all of it was hard to see, but jfc a lot of it was so I had a hard time telling who was fighting what. You can argue that's realistic to an extent but as a viewer I kind f want to be able to see who's fighting.

Jamie+Brienne team-up on the battlement was great.

Poor Mormont girl got wasted but took out an undead-giant while doing so.

Arya sneaking around the undead in the library was very nice and tense, I enjoyed that scene a lot.

Did Rheagal bite it? I legit couldn't tell.

The death of the Night king though was a bit... that's it? Idk, I guess I was hoping that the final, final battle would be the living vs the White Walkers but alas. That part is over and Ayra offing him was cool.

According to next week's episode Rheagal lived. I thought he had died.

Yeah same here, he took a fair wacking from undead-bro and then collapsed on the ground like a sack of potatoes so I thought that was him done for.

Glad to be wrong.

I thought he killed the Ice Dragon, then died, and the Ice Dragon at the end was him. BECAUSE THE SHOW WAS SO DAMN DARK.

Their bodies were jumbling about so much that I could barely tell who was ripping into who properly because yanno I COULDN'T SEE SHIT.

I got that dragon at the end was Viserion because it had half it's face missing that I saw Rheagal tear off, but I legit thought that Rheagal had been left dead in the snow as well.

I am so goddamn full of emotions, and the episode exhausted the hell out of me. But I'm glad.

Sad about the multiple deaths but not shocked. Well, a little shocked at how Lyanna went out, but why shouldn't she go out like a little badass?

So many great elements coming together. I loved the breaks from the battle to give a bit of suspense with Arya in the library.

For a moment, I had to wonder if the NK was really dead. Sucks that Theon died, but at least he died happy and feeling accepted by at least one family.

AND POD DIDN'T DIE!!!! That was a relief. Jaime and Brienne constantly having each other backs fed the fuck out of my shippy side, though I did jump a couple of times when the wights swarmed them.

My eyes were welling up when Bran told Theon "You're a good man" and I was full-out sobbing when Arya killed the Night King. What an episode.

I’m loving the rage from the people who were irrationally deeply invested in Grey Worm dying. I hope he and Missandei adopt a hundred adorable babies and they all sail back to Naath on the Live-4-Ever on a sea made of hater tears.

Haha, me too! I thought he was a goner after promising on the eve of battle to go on a beach holiday with his girlfriend. I mean come on Grey Worm, didn't you ever read TV tropes? But it's nice to have my expectations thwarted in a positive way for once!

I am VERY interested to find out what Bran was doing when he peaced out in the godswood. It has to be something. I was yelling out suggestions the whole time - "he warged into Viserion! No, another Walker! The Night King! The night King's going to stab Bran and Bran's going to warg into him and kill himself!!" They better have some amazing reveal for what the fuck he was doing otherwise what is the point of him?
