Watched the sonic trailer like.....14 times.

It took around 5 minutes the first time because I kept stopping and crying with laughter. This is WILD and I love Jim Carrey as Robotnik.

This surprises me, and maybe I need a different perspective because I really just felt like Carrey was playing the same. damn. character. that he always plays. Robotnik's always been the almost Shakespearean, grandiose kind of comic evil, not... idk, jerky movements and yelling? But I'm genuinely interested in your take on it.

He's not game!robotnik, I totally get why someone wouldn't dig his performance based upon that. They both have flair but in different places (Compare the voice over for him in Colors compared to this).

I don't remember the last Carrey movie I watched (maybe Bruce Almighty....damn.)

I was in the process of texting my brother about it when he texted me "Why does Sonic have human teeth :("

Woke up at 4 because I am dogsitting and my sister's dog is terrified of storms. So, had to try and comfort him until I was supposed to get up at 6. Then just stayed at work feeling blah because it is raining all day.

Had Spanish class as well as some other interesting classes. Had lunch at a tasty restaurant at around 3pm. Had shrimp and a margarita and then a cocktail with mezcal and mango pulp. All was delicious.

Looooove mezcal

It seems to be the alcohol of choice here in Oaxaca.

Went to work where one kid told me she hated me and another kid told me his thumb hurt and the only way to make him feel better was if I opened his milk carton, so I had some laughs and that was nice.

Opening those cartons is a skill

That is an awesome thing to have done with your day. :) What's it of?

It is a diagram of a maneuver called the 'Immelmann Turn', which was used by bi planes in WWI. The biplanes in the illustration were replaced with Beechcraft Staggerwing biplanes (my dad's favorite), and the most prominent one was done in color. The others are just black and white sketches. It has his birth and death dates, as well. My dad wanted to be in the Air Force (rejected due to eyesight, so he joined the Navy instead, in WWII), and he built and flew radio controlled planes all his life. I think he'd have got a kick out of it.

Went to get a script filled and got half an hour of confused pharmacist trying to work out what the hell the doctor's notes were trying to say, before she gave up and said she'd try and call him for clarification. So I'll be getting those... maybe today? Maybe not? Who knows, at this point.

Had anxiety about organized crime, gangs and run-down neighborhoods in the US. I will never visit the US, so it's a weird thing to have anxiety about.
