where to even start

i think my favourite part is the scare quotes you put around proof because you're well aware that "peoples experiences" is and never will be scientific proof, but you still gotta pretend you're entertaining the concept since you're vaguely aware that's what people do who want to be taken seriously

Exactly. The scare quotes definitely give the game away. But we expect 'evidence' that can be 'proven' by 'reproducible experimentation.' That's how we would know they're not 'making it up,' see?
