As another unattractive older loser who’s shit at making and keeping friends, I don’t think my being unattractive has much to do with why I’m shit at friendship. I just suck at people skills. Which is probably also most of the reason I don’t have a significant other, either—my (lack of) looks don’t help in the romance department, but ugly people aren’t generally at a disadvantage when making friends compared to good-looking ones.
