Ironically, you chose one of the few shots where it actually looks good.

I think the problem was the combination of her skin tone and hair shade more than the actual style. For some reason they really tanned her up kind of orangey in CAWS, and also lightened her hair to a more gingery shade. The combination did her no favours.
