No, fundamentally, she is the exact same person - child taken by Thanos who she secretly hates, raised in constant competition with her adopted sister, holds serious doubts about Thanos' "grand" plan. Her experiences with the Guardians did not make her who she is, they simply honed what was already there.

Really boiled down, it's just a classic amnesia trope. It could be handled poorly, or it could be handled well. I choose to be optimistic.
