Give me your favourite completed shows!

I am always needing things to watch, so gimme some recs!

Things I am currently enjoying:

The Expanse
Hemlock Grove
Outcast
Constantine
Gotham
Hannibal

Not a fan of like... teen drama-ey stuff like Pretty Little Liars etc, but I can put up with it if there's a good story/some supernatural or sci-fi-ey shit going on too.

Maybe Black Sails? Has a lot of violence though, but Gotham and Hannibal aren't exactly PG rated either so...

Do you require it to be both complete and good all the way through? Because I usually recommend Person of Interest but the last season is not so hot

Yeah I think I made it through three (maybe four?) seasons of PoI before I decided it was 'complete' for me, lol. Same with season six of SPN.

Fringe, though you might want skip the season - it was fine but not as good as the rest.

Eureka - it can be uneven from season to season, but it does have some interesting twists.

The Dead Zone - I feel like this show wasn't really given its due because the movie was so iconic, though to be honest, I enjoyed the psychic thing of the week more than the overarching must-stop-the-politician storyline

Miracles - only one season but Skeet Ulrich was pretty compelling in it

Leverage - it can be really fun, even if Nathan Ford is kind of a dick (Timothy Hutton plays that well, though)

Dead Zone and Leverage I looooved! I have never heard of Miracles but I will check it out. I've tried Fringe and Eureka but couldn't seem to get into either, thank you though!

You're welcome! If you liked Leverage, you might also enjoy The Librarians, since it's done by some of the same people. It's not quite as good and I didn't watch the last season, but it had its moments.

And in that same vein, Haven was done by the same people who did The Dead Zone, but it is infinitely weirder. I really liked a lot of the main characters, but they seemed to have a problem when they introduced a new character, in that they often just didn't seem to know what to do with that character after a while and so killed them off. Not always, but often.

I'm catching up on Hannibal now (never got around to season 3) and I'd forgotten how brilliantly bonkers it was, I love it so much.

The Terror is a great, atmospheric horror/drama. It's a slow burner but short (10 episodes) and really pays off if you stick with it. I see somebody's already recommended Black Sails! Deadwood is great even if you're not keen on westerns (my dad hates them but adores Deadwood). I thought In Treatment was brilliant too, but it's very dialogue-driven and not for everyone.

I don't know if you've seen "Bates Motel" or not, but if you haven't, since you like "Hannibal" and "Gotham" (I haven't seen that one, but I understand it's a prequel series, the way "Bates" is?), I think you'd probably enjoy that show, too :). 5 seasons, 10 episodes each, so it wouldn't take very long to work through it, and the acting throughout is just superb, and I like their take on such a well-known story.
