Yes, but he hasn't grown or changed really. Like, at all. That's why I want him dead -- keeping him around in season two just beat a dead horse.

Then again, this is Heroes. Storytelling and style takes a backseat to utilizing the rating boosting power of cute blonde cheerleaders and hot people making out.

Exactly. That argument MIGHT work if he were at all different from when we first met him. He's not. Nearly everyone else is, but not him. You argue that because he's a villain "doesn't mean he can't have growth and character development". Yeah... but we've not seen it so far. And, again, it's not like there hasn't been time, and that other characters haven't developed. How many seasons do we have to put up with him before we're allowed to want him gone?

I said the potential for development was there, not that the writers would necessarily capitalize on it. I agree with you completely that he didn't develop in season two - if anything, he went backwards. But he's certainly not the only character that backslid in season two, so I don't think it's fair to single him out in that regard. In any case, I have higher hopes for him in season three.

The problem with Sylar in season two was that it took him the ENTIRE SEASON to go from powerless to having his powers back. If they had just speeded up that Maya/Alejandro/Sylar roadtrip up by a lot, that storyline would've been better and we would've had a Sylar who would actually DO something. He could've gone after Adam to get the regeneration power, for instance. That could've been awesome.
