131: You don't honestly think that Twilight was the first ever shitty vampire novel, do you? Shitty vampire novels are older than radio. Rest assured, Twilight's more likely to have opened a door for you than closed it: publishers are scrambling for "the next Smeyer" right now, and if your work is even slightly similar, you could be one of the ones to benefit. (I know of at least one author who got her book accepted by a publisher because of Twilight and the trend it started. Be of good cheer!)
