135. To be fair, I've seen any number of, say, HP fics that made no such attempt at all. And personally, I say, "bloody," all the time. That might just be my mouth though, since I insert, "bloody," when it would be over-the-top to say, "fuck."
It's just bad writing no matter who's doing it.
141. I think it's terrible largely because I doubt the show can be sustained that long.

(Anonymous) 2008-09-23 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)And, I've actually done a lot of academic research (I'm a grad student) on fandom and that's exactly why fandom exists -- to fill whatever void or unfulfilled desire the reader/watcher has. That's why fanfiction's so popular.
Now, whenever I read something, I begin to write fanfic in my mind. So, instead of enjoying "art" for art's sake, I want to mutate it into something of my own creation.
