105. I can understand if Rodney's not your cup of tea, but I've always liked that he's not your Standard Hot Male Character (though I'd argue he is hot...just not in that pic, because it's a bad one of both of them). Even if the writers like to live vicariously through his character, I think they've done a good job of making him a complex and flawed person. And I love David Hewlett. *cough* Anyway, to each their own!

153. I would watch that. I've never even seen Dr. Who, but I would so so watch that.

Everyone should have the chance to meet him in person! I actually *cringe* when I read fic describing him as a little chubby. The man is actually REALLY slim, and about sixty gagillion times more hot in person.

Not to be all 'OMG LOOK AT ME' but... omg look at me (http://darsynia.livejournal.com/116231.html). That's my personal 'How I met David Hewlett at Shore Leave' story, including video and pictures :) grammarwoman even video'd him signing my stuff and remembering me :D A recap of his Q&A with his sister is on the 'Shore Leave' tag on that entry.

Seriously, though. If you get the chance, GO. Man is gracious, hilarious, and unfazed by stupid questions--he'll turn ANYTHING funny.

I have heard something about him being at a conference next month but I don't know for sure...

blimey_icons is a great place to look, as is sg_awards (Stargate themed icon awards; can be hit or miss). Another place is lantis_lims--though that's roundabout... not as many Hewlett/McKay icons, BUT, the members are all great icon-makers, so looking at their stuff will undoubtedly turn up some great places.

Oh, duh! Look at my list of too many icons for great examples of good iconmakers too!

Oh, I totally agree with all of the above. I see further down in the comments that you also met him at Shoreleave! I loved him already, but the love increased exponentially after that. Besides being crazy hot, he's also extremely charming and such a genuinely nice person!
