Big Finish Productions, just a tip

Oh, lord. They are the WORST when it comes to fucking up Americanisms. It's gotten so bad that I can barely listen to any audio set in the US. Between the unbelievably horrible accents and all the dialect failures it's torture. And I am a complete BF addict. I should bring this up at the next con those guys are at. There is no excuse for that kind of laziness.

If you see them, yeah, sure, mention it. I love their stuff, and I pay through the nose to import it, and I hate that good stories are marred by this. (Minuet in Hell, nothing could save. Heh.)

The accents I can understand -- they don't have an infinite supply of voice actors, but there's no excuse for not having an American do a once-over for vocabulary.

I absolutely will, and I agree with you completely. It would take nothing to have an American read over the completed script and it would raise the quality of those productions immensely. (You are also right about Minuet in Hell, but Renaissance of the Daleks would have been improved ridiculously with a US beta.)

I love finding other people who adore BF. Their download service makes me giddy with glee!
